Privacy Policy
In short: Monstermath does not request the internet permission. An app without it cannot send anything anywhere — not because we promise so, but because Android will not allow it. You can verify this yourself in your phone settings in about thirty seconds.
The two permissions, and what they are for
The app declares exactly two permissions. There are no others.
-
Vibrate (
VIBRATE) — a short buzz when a child answers correctly or incorrectly, when a level is cleared, and when a badge is earned. It can be switched off in Settings. -
Notifications (
POST_NOTIFICATIONS) — used only for the daily reminder. It is not requested when the app first opens, but only at the moment a parent switches that reminder on. If the reminder is never switched on, the permission is never requested.
Never requested
No Internet permission, no camera, microphone, location, contacts, storage, installed-app list, or permission to install other apps.
The consequence is not a promise but a technical fact: an app without the internet permission has no route to contact any server. There is no analytics, no usage counter, no automatic crash reporting, no advertising, and no third-party library that collects anything.
What is stored on the device
All of the following is kept inside your own phone, in the app's private storage, which other apps cannot read:
- Child profile names and chosen avatars — names you type yourself, verified against nothing
- Per-level progress: best score, stars, attempt count, time taken
- Session history for the progress charts and the weekly report
- The mistake bank: addresses of questions answered wrongly, and the name of the error pattern
- XP, ranks, badges, daily streaks, and avatar shop purchases
- Settings: language, sound, music, colour palette, daily goal, reminder hour
We never receive any of it. We hold no server that stores it, and the app has no way to send it.
Android backup
One thing stated plainly, because it is easy to miss. This app allows Android's
built-in backup (allowBackup), so that a child's progress is not lost
when you change phones.
That means if you have Google Backup enabled on your phone, this app's data may be copied to your own Google account. That happens between your phone and Google, governed by your own Android settings, and still never passes through us — we have no access to it. You can switch it off at any time under Settings → Google → Backup.
Shared certificates and reports
When a child passes a topic exam, or when you share the weekly report, the app writes a PNG image into its temporary storage and hands it to Android's share sheet. You choose where it goes — WhatsApp, email, the gallery, or nowhere at all.
The image contains the child's profile name, the topic name, and the result. We receive no copy of it.
Purchase and activation
Payment is processed by lynk.id, not by the app. The app never asks for, displays, or stores card numbers or any payment details.
The licence key is verified inside the device, without contacting a server — it could not do otherwise, having no internet permission. The email address you use at purchase is held by lynk.id and by us in order to send you the licence key and update notices; it never enters the app.
Advertising and in-app purchases
There are none. No ads, no ad networks, no in-app purchases, no subscriptions. One purchase opens all 54 topics.
Children
This app is intended for children roughly 4 to 12 years old. Because nothing is collected and there is no outbound connection, no personal information about a child can be gathered, sold, or leaked through this app.
The leaderboard compares only the child profiles inside one and the same phone, and the two-player duel is played by taking turns on a single screen. There are no outside players, no chat, and no way for a stranger to contact your child through this app.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes — for example if a future feature requires an additional permission — the new version is published on this page along with its effective date. Any feature that adds a permission will be named plainly, not slipped in.
